tELTOracleInput "This component doesn't support Dynamic Type"

The job runs fine and produces the data I expect, but I get this annoying error message every time. I've tried with "Built-In" and "Repository" schema. Same thing happens.

Hello,

The studio UI reports this error when you select Dynamic for tELTOracleInput components.

It's just a GUI warning rather than error, the job is still working with this error.

Could you please clarify in which Talend version/edition you are?

Best regards

Version and edition are

Talend Real-time Big Data Platform

Version: 6.4.1
Build id: 20170623_1246

I meant to mention that I have not set anything under "Dynamic settings" for that component. In fact, I couldn't even if I wanted to. All the buttons are greyed out

Hello,

Could you please try to re-start your studio to see if it is OK with you?

Yep, done that several times. Tried Windows and Mac. Same results.

Hello,

From your screenshot, we see that there is a red cross on tELTOracleInput component. Is it "This component doesn't support Dynamic Type"? Have you tried to re-drag a new tELTOracleInput component in your work flow to see if this red cross will disappear?

Best regards

Yep, that's the error that's causing the red cross to be displayed

Same thing happens if I drop a new tELTOracleInput component in the job. I get the red "X" and the error the moment I change the schema from "Built-in" to "Repository":

This job will not run correctly in the TAC. It "succeeds" but does nothing.

Hello,

We cannot diagnose your issue from your screenshots.

With your Talend Real-time Big Data Platform solution, could you please create a case on talend support portal so that we could give you a remote assistance (webex session) through support cycle with priority?

Turned out this was a problem with our data. The job runs fine in the TAC despite the warning.

I'm trying to get bugs filed, but I'm not the point of contact for our account, so it's been slow going.
