tFileUnarchive and RAR - can't seem to get it to work
We can't seem to get tFileUnarchive to work with RAR files. It's probably something simple, but what are we doing wrong? The documentation says that tFileUnarchive supports decoding of RAR files. The component seems to be looking for a ZIP file, rather than the RAR file we specified as input.

Brion, We have created a BugTrack to find a solution for this issue; you can follow the status of it there on our BugTracker : http://www.talendforge.org/bugs/view.php?id=21847 You might be able to resolve or by pass this issue by using the tSystem component to call your favorite tool 7Zip or Winrar from a command to extract your archive RAR files into the Talend Studio. That should be a good workaround and then will take care to fix it soon. Best regards;
