tSetDynamicSchema component 5.1.1 version

Hi,
We recently started evaluating TOS 5.1.1 version. We were very curious to know how tSetDynamicSchema component can help us to reduce the number of packages we'll need to design. When we took a closer look at it, we found out that the component only supports positional files. In our organization we deal with different types of data formats -
1) Positional files
2) Delimited files
3) EBCDIC files
Could you please let us know the reason behind implementing the tSetDynamicSchema component for only positinal files and not other type of files mentioned above?
Thanks,
Nishad Joshi.

Hi
There isn't a component called tSetDynamicSchema in TOS offically. Even I can't find it in Talend Exchange, yet.

Hi Pedro,
Please take a look at screen shot I've taken from TOS 5.1.1 version I'm using. The component is also mentioned in the user document - TalendOpenStudio_Components_RG_51a_EN.pdf available on Talend site.

Hi Nishad,
I'm using Talend Data Integeration Enterprise Edition 5.1.1 for Big Data edition, there is no such component in the pallete.
Even in the Enterprise Component document, nothing mentioned regarding tSetDynamicSchema.
There is one more Pallete set has been added, named FileScale. I am not sure for what this could be used.

This is an error : this component can only be used with a TIS feature (dynamic schema).
It shouldn't be avaiable in Talend Open Studio and we will remove it from next releases.

Hi,
This doesn't look like an error at all, because the screen is obviously NOT from the version nishadvjoshi is using as he's stating he's using TOS 5.1.1, while the heading of the screen tells us it is Enterprise Data Quality Cluster Edition 5.1.1.
As for Karthikeyan, I don't know why these components are not included in Data Integeration Enterprise Edition 5.1.1, because they seem quite usable there, but that's another discussion.

Arno

Sorry for the confusion... Indeed I'm using Enterprise Data Quality Cluster Edition 5.1.1. Can someone please answer my original question?
