Auto Formatting a Number with the K,M, B subtext not working

Please see the image, using a straight table, I want to be able to format my number without having to write up and use a nested if formula.

If you look at the format pattern, then the example, I should get what I am looking for right?

Is this a bug? I thought this was fixed and supported? I am on November 2019. Anyone have any suggestions or feedback  that does not involve writing an if statement for my measure? I would think that if this is supported, as the example  in the table properties demonstrates, it would work.
