The most precise estimate would be the accumulated sales to date divided by month and multiplied by 12. I guess that is what you described in your post:

Look at the rightmost column - which has this expression as a measure:

RangeSum( Above( Sum([Actual Sales]) ,0 ,RowNo(TOTAL)) / Num( Month(Date)) *12
