what i understand is you are maintaining a file in Sharepoint/drive which if updated u need a indicator for the change. If that is the problem statement then I suggest you to save the data in QVD first then make use of a KEY value or set of fields as a key to identify the specific field then use apply map on next time reload from the saved QVD once & flag the data into the source Save the current data back in same QVD
