Date function

Hi Qlik Users,

I would like to create a graph where i can see sales by date i.e. the following:

DateCustomerCredit SalesDebit Sales
02.05.15ABC$1234
02.05.15XYZ$50
03.05.15HIJ$40
08.05.15QWE$50
03.06.15ERT$400
14.07.15TYU$100

So in the graph, one axis would be the date, by individual date, and the other two measures "Credit Sales" and "Debit Sales" would also show.

I know in my head that i should use a combo chart where Credit sales for 02.05.15 would be on positive y-axis and Debit Sales would be on negative y-axis.

My question is, how do i create the date on the x-axis? Tried using "Day(TransactionDate)" but an error appears, even when i create the graph it only shows the days and not the month.

Thank you!

Hi,

Try with :

=date(date#(TransactionDate,'DD.MM.YY'))

Hi,

Day() will give you the Day in a month, i.e 1,2, ....31.  Try using Date().  If you attach some sample file it would be more easier.

=Date(Date#(DateFieldName,'DD.MM.YY'), 'DD.MM.YY')

Hope this helps you.
