Different Percentage Behavior When Selecting Value from Table vs Stacked Bar in Qlik Sense

Hi Everyone,

I am facing a behavior difference in a Qlik Sense stacked bar chart and would like to understand whether this is expected behavior or if there is a better way to handle it.

Scenario:

I have a stacked bar chart where percentages are calculated by judgement categories (〇 / △ / × / ★).

For example, in one H2 bar:

〇 = 38%
△ = 13%
× = 25%
★ = 25%

Case 1:
When I select ★ from the straight table (Month data), the bar chart still shows ★ as 25%.

Case 2:
When I select the ★ stack directly from the bar chart, the chart shows ★ as 100%.

The product count remains the same in both cases, but the percentage displayed is different.

Current data model:

- H2 / Annual / Recent3 bars are calculated from a Period dataset.
- The straight table is built from a Month dataset.

My questions are:

1. Is this difference expected because the table selection and chart stack selection are applied differently in Qlik Sense?
2. When selecting a judgement from a table, should the denominator normally remain the total H2 population, resulting in 25%?
3. If users expect the selected category to become 100% regardless of whether the selection comes from the table or the chart, what would be the recommended approach?

Hi, I think there may be some confusion around which dimensions are being selected in each scenario.

Also, it looks like the percentage calculation wasn’t included, could you please share it?
