Qlik Sense: Interaction between one chart and multiple Result fields
Question:
I am creating one 100% stacked bar chart with the following dimensions:
Apr–Mar → 3 Months → 1st Half → 2nd Half → Yearly
The chart uses different Result fields:
Apr–Mar → Monthly Result
3 Months → Quarterly Result
1st Half → 1st Half Result
2nd Half → 2nd Half Result
Yearly → Yearly Result
The detail table contains all five Result fields.
When users select a result from the chart/table, Qlik Sense may apply selections across multiple Result fields. Depending on the selected combination, the chart may show the associated data or an unidentified/no-data result.
When selecting values from the chart/table, selections across different Result fields can be combined by Qlik's associative model, sometimes resulting in no associated data/unidentified results.
Proposed rule: "Users should select one reporting period at a time and clear the previous Result selection before selecting another reporting period."
Is this expected Qlik Sense behavior, and is this rule a recommended approach? Or is there a way to make the five Result fields interact independently while keeping them in one chart?
