How to hold data to keep track of a trend?

Hi there! 🙂

I once again rely on the mighty power of the Qlik community to help me with my Qlik issues.

My issue:

We currently have a Qlik app that calculates how good our storage is sorted. Every day, the data gets updated 4 times, so that we always have the current numbers. However, with every upload, the old data is not available in Qlik any longer (obviously). Since we also need a trend, how the numbers change over time, this is problematic.

The current solution - some poor guy getting the numbers from qlik into a .csv and loading it up again to create a history of old values - is not exactly best practice. Hence I try to figure out if and how it might be possible to create a history of the old values directly in Qlik, so that Qlik can show the old values both as table and as a line chart (as well as the current values based on the latest data). I need at least the data of the last 10 days. Even better would be, if I could create a history with no such limitation - if possible.

Basically, the question is: How can I store the numbers that are calculated in Qlik in a way that they don´t get erased with the new upload? This is neccessary to show the trend of our sorting quality over the time.

I hope you can give me a hint how I can get rid of this excel-workaround.

Faithful regards,

Sapphire
