Left handed navigation

Hi,
I'm new to the Qlik community, and working as a designer. I'm not familiar with what is easily achieved in Qlik and what is not. I am wondering, rather than a stack of buttons, is it possible to have a left-hand-nav instead (refer to the attached image)

I can't think of a built in object that does the kind of navigation you are looking for, but I suspect if you look around there may be a third party extension that does what you want.
