I'm relatively new to Nprinting and had a question in relation to the On-demand reporting. I've set up the app and connections in Nprinting and I've created a basic powerpoint template that only contains the text 'Helloworld'. There are no formula's, variables or any data from the app that i've put onto the template. The app that its connected to is very basic, it is just a simple inline load with a dozen dimensions and corresponding values. So here's the issue. When I do not make any selections and click on the on-demand button for nprinting I get a report saying 'Helloworld' - this is as expected. However when I make a selection and the click on the on-demand button the report doesnt seem to get generated and I can see the revolving circle that shows its still churning away trying to do something. See screenshot.
What am I doing wrong?
Hi @Omash2022
If your test app has no directly associative data values, that could be the issue.
Make sure that when selecting your data that the chart you use in your report actually changes according to the selection you made. (Variable selections and input boxes are not supported)
Also try this:
1. Create an NP filter with the selection value that you used in the QS hub. Then add the filter/selection value to the NPrinting Report
2. preview the report right in the designer
Does it work there? If not then there may not anything to produce so it just spins in the QS hub.
Ensure your report has at least one chart and one filter pane that contains the dimension value(s) you selected in the QS hub.
Then check the following:
I suggest using an app with data, create an NPrinting report against that app and ensure the app you use has associative data.
