Multi box

I am trying to put an expression into a Multi Box:

if(Loan_RMC='Y' or Retail_RMC='Y','Y','N')

I can see it in the Multi Box but if I select the option nothing happens.

What I want to do is to create a combined variable so the user can select this one option.
