Passing selections to alternate states

Hi Experts,

I have 2 different alternate states.

1) Default State 

2) Sort

Now I want to be able to pass field selections in state 1 to state 2 so that the field looks synchronized in one way (only state 1 to state 2).

Anyone, Please Help!!
