Pulling from different data sources in a chart expression.

I have two excel files for the month of March. One that has the profit each day, on or before the 8th. I have another excel file that has the revenue and expense on or after the 9th.

I want to write a chart expression that pulls in the profit from that first excel file when the 8th or anything before that is selected. I also want that same chart expression to subtract the expense from the revenue when the 9th or anything after is selected. Finally, when no date is selected OR if two or more dates from both excel files are selected, I want the profit from the first excel file to be added with the (revenue-expense) from the second excel file. I included sample data below.

I do not want this to be done in the load editor script. Is this possible?

Hi,

Why you wanted to load 2 data sources ? Instead of your requirement you can load all data & compare data using date integrated with master calendar &  write a logic in qlik itself.
