Qlik Sense Desktop Install

Hi Community.

I have a Puzzle that I am hoping can be resolved. So, I run through the install and it installs .Net framework and the general installer and it all seems fine.

Once finished I hit my new desktop icon for QLIK Sense Desktop...and nothing!!

The Qliksense.exe does launch in the processes tab of windows task manager but the actual program never fires up and opens??

Wasn't sure why so I did uninstall and reinstall...same problem?

Any ideas?

Hi Peter,

It sounds strange that it has anything to do with a space in the user account. I'm not allowed to create new accounts through Active directory so I can't test it...

Anyway, I'm glad to hear that Qlik Sense Desktop works for you now

Hi Peter,

This error comes when Qlik Sense can't create the correct temp folders.

You can copy them from another PC with Sense installed and working without problems to the temp folder in the PC that start fails.

1. Go to C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Temp

2. Remove all folders that starts with QlikSenseBrowser (QlikSenseBrowser{versionnumber} and QlikSenseBrowserCache)

3. Copy the folders from the PC with Sense Working fine.

4. Start Qlik Sense Desktop
