Reload data based on selections on App

I am new to Qlik and not able to find a proper solution for my issue. So, I need help with the Run a reload of the App based on the selection I have made in the sheets as a parameter for where clause.

This is not possible.

Alternatives would include using On-Demand App Generation (ODAG) or using a variable rather than selections, as variables can be read in script while selections cannot.
