I have created a filter pane and one of the filters (We'll call it customer) has a customer number as the filter. I would like to instead of showing the customer number, show the customer number concatenated with the customer name (a different field). The number will still be the filter, but just the visual will have both the name and number
Ex
"00099875 - Customer Name"
I can't just use the name as the filter as many of the numbers might have the same name attached.

I am not sure I understand your question correctly then. Do you not have the customer name for the customer number in your dataset? Because if you do then the concatenation should work. If you don't then I guess you just have to load a linking table with the customer number in one column (with the same field name as the customer number in your current data set) and the customer name in the other column.
