Select 2 dynamic date ranges

I'm trying to replicate a Qlikview dashboard in Qlik Sense. In Qlikview I used the following 4 calendar objects and 4 variables:

  1. baseline from date
  2. baseline to date
  3. comparison from date
  4. comparison to date

so that the user could compare any 2 date ranges they selected.

Is there a way to do this in Qlik Sense?

Note:

  • I'm hesitant to use an extension because I read they may stop working with newer versions of the software.
  • I would also prefer not to use alternate states so that list box selections apply to both date ranges.
  • I want the user to be able to dynamically select any range

Hi Sophie,

Just to clarify: so you are missing the Calendar object in Qlik Sense, right? The variable functionalities should be the same as in QlikView.

Did you have a look at these...not sure if they work the way you'd expect it:

GitHub - stefanwalther/sense-date-picker: Date Picker for Qlik Sense.

Correct, I'm missing the calendar objects.

Thanks for the links I hadn't seen those. I looked into them and the first link hasn't been updated in 2 years and the second has a comment saying it doesn't work for the latest versions of Qlik Sense. So still looking for a  better solution.
