Straight Table User cannot search in column

I have a simple app with a Straight table.  The user is attempting to filter the table from the column heading. They click on the column heading, select Search...  and nothing happens.  However, when I do this, I get the list of values in the field and can filter as expected.  I tried to sign in with another user license similar to the user's access but again, I had no issue.  User has Analyzer Entitlement with view, contribute, and consume access to the Managed space

User can click directly onto a value in the column and filter that way, but the search option ought to be working, I would think.

Any ideas on what would cause the search not to open for specific users?

Did you check any browser differences? Is it happening in all the apps for that user?

Is it similar to below issue?

Browser does not seem to make a difference as my attempts to duplicate the issue successfully used both Edge and Chrome. User is using the chrome browser (not sure the version).

I don't know if it occurs across apps as I haven't used the straight table in previous apps.  With the original Qlik table being obsoleted, this is my first attempt to use the new straight table in production. (I prefer the original table due to its simplicity and its more intuitive for my users.)

Yes, it appears similar to the issue in the link provided - my apologies for the re-post.  However, I didn't see an answer on that post....

Something to check:

Open the browser console (F12 on most browsers, Console tab) and see if any errors pop up when you click. This may help you debug the issue (or provide useful information for Qlik's support if you open a ticket). It may also pay to check the Network tab to see if anything unusual pops up.

Thanks for the suggestions.  Unfortunately, the user stopped responding and I could never duplicate the issue.
