Hi there,
We are using Text objects in our visualisations to proved things like latest date refreshed and stand alone titles.
We've found that if you hover over the text object and move the scroll wheel on your mouse the text rolls up and disappears out of view. Despite the text object being the correct size for showing the text clearly it seems to do it regardless of font size.
The only solution I can find is making the text object much longer than needed and then this doesn't scroll with the mouse but the object is then too big and is not fit for purpose.
Is there any properties that can stop this happening? This is occurring on the Text & Image object and the Qlik Dashboard Bundle Text object. see attached file for screenshots to help show the problem.
Thanks, Julie
Hi, I did some test and the text doesn't goes up, I only can scroll up if I insert some intros (new lines) on the text. Have you checked if there are some not visible charactares after the visible text?
Can you upload a sample app to check the object properties?
Hi,
There isn't any special/non-visible characters in the text.
I've attached an example app for you to see.
Thanks very much for your help.
Hi, I did my tests with the standard object and it looks it only happens with bundle text object.
With the standar the scroll the text doesn't scrolls, but this have less custom properties.
I think there is some problem with the budle text object, as it shouldn't scroll.
I didn't found any solution for this besides the use of the default text object. Or open an idea or report it as a bug so this will be corrected on next versions.
Thanks for testing, the standard text object has it's own limitations and unfortunately for what we want to do the font is too small within it which is why I opted for the bundled object.
I will raise a bug because it will be perfect if it didn't scroll.
thanks for all your help
