Using Regex in the Qlik Sense Desktop

Hi Guys,

I have been trying to use Regex (besides the wild match, mix math etc functions).

So after some researching I found out this Qlik Thread: Regular expression [A-Z] *

However, I am not clear with the part that says: http://prntscr.com/iisuan

Queries:

> Where to put the part that deals with Regex Function Definition (article says "VBScript code to be put in Macro Editor")

> Is this capability only restricted to Qlik View coz the above mentioned thread is in that thread?

I am new to Qlik would really appreciate any help or insight on this.

The Macro facility is only available in QlikView.

it could be SUB, End SUB in the script

SUB/ENDSUB defines a set of Qlik Script statements. In this case, the OP wants to use VBScript to implement RexExp.

Someone out there somewhere I'm sure is building a Server Side Extension for RegExp support.
