Varirable to Toggle DataPoints setting On/Off

Hello, is it possible to have a variable and a button to toggle the Data Points and Points label setting on and off? So basically, I would have a variable and a button. When the button is clicked, it would change the value of the variable and that value would determine if the setting is on or off. Thanks!

Dont beleive it can be done. Maybe an extension which supports it.
