Why Qlik Sense not offering free trail personal use

I was trying to download a Qlik Sense desktop for trail and personal use even with time limit. There is way (https://community.qlik.com/t5/Download-Qlik-Products/tkb-p/Downloads) to download the Qlik Sense desktop. 

But there is no way for a personal user to active for a trail even with time restriction. My ex-employer uses Qlik Sense. I am familiar with that and Qlik Sense used to allow at least 30 days trail personal use.

Now, finding the way to active a trail personal use in Qlik's official website is super difficult.

I really don't understand how the business decision is made by Qlik. Don't you guys want more people to learn and try to use Qlik to grow a bigger Qlik community and Qlik users? Why making a trail and download and personal use so difficult? Especially there are plenty of more and more competitive BI products out there in the market with stronger eco-system's competitors. 

In 2021 when I interviewed my second Qlik Sense job, I was still able to easily download and use as trail in order to prepare my Qlik Sense home work for interview. Nowadays, there is completely impossible. How the authenticate works at all for a personal user without a organisation? I don't understand why are you closing you gate to normal individual people by building such high threshold for personal individual. For example, M's P'Bi, they are super easy to download and open to use. If I am training to be a BI developer. Why do I invest so much hassle to learn how to active a free trail for Qlik. Instead, directly using a super easy download and trail M's P'Bi?

I hope the Qlik user experience staff, can use a fresh computer with incognito browser, try to find a way to download and active a personal trail begins from search engine as a normal individual new proposer. You will then know how much hassle needed to open a Qlik Sense trail.

Did anyone manage to find a way to access, free trial? I need to develop some personal apps but have no way of getting access. Please help!

Hi Lech, thanks for the info, it was very useful. I spent like 30 minutes looking on their website and didn't remember this section on the community page. However, I kind of agree with everyone here on the statement that Qlik could make easier and more accessible the actual download of the free desktop, I feel it's a bit hidden 😄

Hi Lech,

I have downloaded the latest QlikSense desktop and installed. For personal use, how do I add the authentication link? As it is required on the attached QlikSense desktop screenshots once I open it.

Since I am a personal individual, I don't have any server administrator and I am unable to retrieve the desktop authentication link myself from the Qlik Sense Enterprise hub or the Qlik Sense Business personal info page.

I have just opened the url https://community.qlik.com/t5/Download-Qlik-Products/tkb-p/Downloads and filtering Product - Qlik Sense Desktop, I couldn't find Qlik Sense Desktop Unlock File.

Here are the steps:

• start a Qlik Cloud Trial
• Download Qlik Sense Desktop
• Activate using your Qlik Cloud
