generate aggregated date constant

Hello community,

how can i autmatically generate a new (monthly aggregated) date field that is based on an existing date field in a table?

Example:

Date               new date (generated in qlik script)

01.01.2017     01.01.2017

13.01.2017     01.01.2017

22.01.2017     01.01.2017

30.01.2017     01.01.2017

04.02.2017     01.02.2017

07.02.2017     01.02.2017

19.02.2017     01.02.2017

02.03.2017     01.03.2017

14.03.2017     01.03.2017

.                    .    

.                    .

.                    .

etc                etc.

Any suggestions?
