getting data from fields from 2 different tables within a logic?

Not sure if my subject line is apt with my requirement, sorry,I shall try to explain it in a better way here.

I have a doubt as below:

A:

count(col1(clauses) , col2 )from table 1
OR
count(col5(clauses) , col6) from table 2

B:  

count(col6 , col7(clauses)) from table 1
OR
count(col5(clauses) , col6) from table 2

(A/B)  assume col 0 is the common field between table 1 and table 2.

how can I achieve this?request your help.
