how to make KPI chart growth rate change based on filter

Dear Experts, 

Pls see below a sample dashboard: I have several filters setup, using Profit KPI chart as example, as you can see, I would also like to show the growth rate vs. last year same period based on the filter selection madeI have several filters setup, using Profit KPI chart as example, as you can see, I would also like to show the growth rate vs. last year same period based on the filter selection made

I am quite lost about how to write the correct expression for this dynamic growth rate. something to do with sets analysis? is also something my boss would like to see.....
