vLookup

I feel like I'm missing something simple but I can't get my head around it.

I have 2 independent sets of data and a master calendar has been made to link these, I'm trying to count how many jobs worked on and how many of those have failed like in the picture below. In excel I can vLookup the difference, I've tried to add an if statement of =if(worked on=failed) and this didn't return the value I had calculated when doing it manually in excel.

In the example you can see the failed count is 3 not 4 as Job A should not be accounted for as it was not worked on in that week.

Hi

Can you share a picture of your date model? Might mean we can suggest more.

Should be a simple Count(), The tabled can't be the same in Qlik.

how did you build your DM?  they really arent independent as JOB is a common field.  the two sets of data are linked by JOB.  the date will complicate it.  there will be a few ways to build your DM.  my preference for this would be to build just one table for JOBS - Start Date is an attribute of the job and Fail Date is also an attribute.

you can associate both of the date fields to a calendar by bridge.  then when the user selects a date range, the start and fail dates are automatically associated.
