How to avoid Text values in column

Hello Guys,

Please help on below problem.

i have one column(No of count) and i want sum the columns like =sum(No of count), its showing 0.

i tried different ways but no luck.

I want to sum or avoid text values in the columns.

sum=165, please have look below table and help me.

i want display sum in Text Object, its not coming from direct source.
we have implement roll back concept ie user enter some number in dashboard that values
saved in some db after one hour again it reflect our dashboard like column.

not coming from direct source? not sure I get any of what you have mentioned in your response?

We have implement roll back concept in qlikview, ie we have given option for user to enter comment or value like input box, that values stored in DB, we will refresh every one hour,
user can see those values in dashboard after one hour. now i want some those values but unfortunately some users enter text instead of number.
i think now you got my point

Yup... but regardless oh what you are saying, I don't see why Sum([No of count]) didn't work for you... because it does for me

But if the field is all loaded as Text, then Sum([Text - No of count]) doesn't work... but this does

Sum(Num#([Text - No of count]))

i took sample data and test its working but my application not working even count also wrong.
something is going on that column and i need to analyze.
