I was able to do that by using Qlik Developer (Garden).

Login to https://developer.qlik.com/garden

1. Go to your profile -> My Profile.
2. You'll see a section called "UNLOCK QLIK SENSE DESKTOP".
3. Click "LEARN MORE" button.

4. Now, you can download Qlik Sense Desktop OR the QSD file.

5. Move the QSD file (JSON) to your Qlik Sense workspace. The trial folder may need to be manually created.
