As i used "PgoAsXmlAlso="1 in "settings7" i am getting the copy of PGO files in Documents folder instead of getting it as .xml file.
which PGO file contains the list of users in Qlikview.
Can anyone help me ......
Thanks in Advance
To start the PGO files are always in the Root Folder. The command PgoAsXmlAlso=1 is the right command. You did restart the Qlikview Server service?
How to open .pgo file to find the users??
These are binary files and can't be read outside of QVS. Trying to open them can cause QVS to crash.
Thanks alot Bill
I get the Xml's after restarting QVS.
As I extracted the list of users from session*.log. Is there a better way to extract the list of Users in QVS.
sorry for digging an old problem from the past.
I've add the PgoAsXmlAlso="1 command to the setting.INI, restated the server but i still don't get my PGOs as XML.
We're using QV10 Enterprise edition.
What am im doing wrong?
Make user you are using PgoAsXmlAlso=1 yours is showing PgoAsXmlAlso="1 and it needs to go under
Typo in my message. under the settings.ini is correctly spelled. Is this
also applicable in version 10?
Embarrassing... I've put the command statement in the wrong section. . Now it works
Appreciate your help and sorry for your time
Pls help me in identifying the file where this line needs to added.
Can you point location of the file and which file needs to be edited?
Just a small clarification; the PGO's will not be replaced by XML files.
I've sstopped all the Qlikview services.
I've changed the Settings.ini file.
and started the qlikview-services.
But de xml's are not created.
Or are they created in an other map?
We are using this Qlikview-version
They should be under your ROOT folder.
To follow up on Bill correct post, check your QMC > System > Setup > QlikView Servers > QVS@ > Folders tab > Root Folder field. Make note of the file path and open the file path in Windows Explorer and you should see the .pgo.xml files there.
Hope this helps,
Thanks Bill and Chip
I've found the files.
