I've published an updated version 1.15 of Document Analyzer to

Changes in this update:

- Fix a hang caused by unicode values in variables or expressions. Property files are now written in unicode.

Hi Rob,

Appreciate your tremendous contribution to the community!

Does your document analyser tool that I have used in the past to optimise the Front-End solutions, from a best practice perspective to removing unused fields etc, work with Qlik Sense?

If not, what other tools would you recommend for analysing Qlik Sense Apps in terms of the data-model, front-end, expressions, etc?

The DocumentAnalyzer.qvw does not work with Qlik Sense apps. However, a Qlik Sense version will be publicly available at the end of October.

Yes, I think you can analyze unused fields with the QS Governance framework,

Hi Rob,

I used to use the Qlikview Governance Dashboard which beautifully outlined the entire data-flow between all QVD:s and QVW files and you could immediately find different fields throughout the application.

I do not see such capability in the Operations Monitor at this time.

I believe #2 replaces #1.  I've installed the Governance Collector but I haven't reviewed the lineage capabilities.

Would you rate it as a stable and good product for an Enterprise?

Also, any similar products you would advice installing in the QS Prod environment?

I have a big job analyzing and cleaning up a messy prod environment that many users already use.

Would like to push entire lists of users to different UserGroups that are synched with AD etc...

So I need good monitoring and governance apps.

Also, any special Audit apps you would recommend? I am sorry for widening my questioning in this post.

The product is new so I can't comment on it's stability.  It has some experienced and talented people contributing to it, so I'll assume it's good.

Re the Enterprise question: It's not a supported product (supported under your support contract), so some Enterprise policies may be wary of it. On the other hand, I don't see it as a "mission critical" component, so if you did have a failure it would not likely impact the user experience, just frustrate the admin

There are supported vendor products such as NodeGraph and Platform Manager that provide similar features for lineage and may be a better fit for Enterprise support requirements.
