Conditional Formatting in Pivot Table - Reference Totals Column

Working with monthly data in a pivot table, I am trying to apply conditional formatting to the most recent month, comparing to that dimensions totals column.  The logic to only compare and color the most recent column is working, I am just comparing to the incorrect value (not total). 

Is there a way to apply secondarydimensonality logic within the avg(total<Segment Name]>Waste) formula?
