Create a button to reload a different app

Hi there,

I have two apps:

1. An app which extracts data and stores data into QVDs

2. An app which takes that data and uses it for dashboard design. This is my front end app.

I would like to create something in app 2 where the end user can press reload and it will reload app 1, and then it triggers app 2 once app 1 is reloaded.

I was thinking on the lines of a button but all I can see is to reload the current app.

I did stumble across this in the community How to reload another Sense app using widget? - Qlik Community - 15624 which suggests App: Reload | Qlik Sense for developers Help.

Does anyone have any idea how I can create an extension or a widget or something which might follow my aims above?

Whilst I'm au fait with Qlik Sense generally, I've never created an extension or a widget.

Many thanks in advance,

Mathew

In this case, you can create a task also in QMC, one for QVD and other for dashboard task and execution will take place based on task event trigger of QVD , once your QVD reload has been finished, then automatically your dashboard or front end app will trigger and start to reload
