Hello,

I really like the new button available in February 2020. Beside the current features, I would like to add one : ability to reload :

-by ID of a task (when I have chaining task)

-by ID of an application (= manually reload)

-by Name of either task or application with the option of define a streal. In this case, it would be the first one.

Today we use an extension (https://developer.qlik.com/garden/5b76a76b7fd9c82c294a5d6c ) but a native feature would be more robust.

This request is something that one of our clients has been raising regularly for some time now.  A use case for this is a meeting taking place reviewing e.g. outstanding sales orders, and after cancelling or updating an order, wanting to refresh the app to see the effect.  Currently we are also using an extension to achieve this, but it takes some effort to set up and would obviously be preferable if it were native functionality.

We are currently using the reload button extension in many Qlik Sense reports to allow users dynamically search on a small set of data from large table. It takes the input values as parameters and applies the user entered selections to query the data from source tables directly. It will be very useful to support on-demand reload functionality in Qlik.

ODAG generates and loads new app based on the user selections, that's more convenient than reload which replaces the existing app the current users settings.

Reload and partial reload is coming most likely as an action to the button in spring 2020.

@Patric_NordstromHello. Nice to see Qlik is working on that :). Since you're on that, I should insist on these essential options are :

-by ID of a task (when I have chaining task)

It's not only reloading my app that I want but re-launching the whole reload, from data extraction to front app.

@simonaubert  I understand your ask, fyi more complex reloading options will exposed in the task scheduler rather than inside of an app.
