Hi!
I tried to import an app developed with QS 3.0.1.0 to QS 3.1.0. I obtained the message "Failed to import app. Please check the log file".
In C:\ProgramData\Qlik\Sense\Log\Repository\System the Service_Repository.txt file says:
Sequence# ProductVersion Timestamp Severity Hostname Id Description ProxySessionId ProxyPackageId RequestSequenceId UserDirectory UserId ObjectId ObjectName Service Origin Context Command Result Message Id2

The site is working Ok, and other apps work fine. I tried to read the app in QS Desktop and it failed also.
Is there any tool to "rebuild" or check the exported app?
Thank you in advance.
Juan Carlos.
Juan Carlos,
Do you have an access to the original application on the system it's coming from? If so, try to open the file without the data, save it and export it.
Another thing to check: verify if you have enough space on the target Hard Drive on your system. You should have enough space for ~2x of your imported file (to handle Temp storage), at least....
Regards,
Vladimir

Vladimir:
Thank you for your quik and accurate answer. I exported and imported the app in the source environment, and in QMC I could see that the migration status was ok.
Hi,
Facing same problem while importing certain app.
I am trying to import certain app at qlik sense by QMC but faced certain error:
Invalid path [4]:Invalid path (Path longer than 260 characters) (HTTP code: 500) 37543937-a22e-4ae6-82b5-65147fdb8b69
This is to mention that I can import other apps from the same location then why received such error (Path longer than 260 characters) as well as same app can be accessed by Qlik sense desktop.
Moojahid,
Please check the answer above. It might be just "out of disk space" issue. Which explains why you were able to import the other apps...
VK
Hi Vladimir Komorov,
Thanks for your. I have plenty of disk space as, so no issue on it.
The app is downloaded from demo.qlik.com named "02.CEM Communications.qvf" which is working fine with Qlik sense desktop however couldn't import same app to Qlik sense by QMC.
Thanks
Moojahid
Hmm...
Try to change the app's name to something simple (like "123.qvf") and without periods and spaces in the file name before the import...
Qlik is well known for incorrect messages in logs, so this "Path longer than 260 characters" might be misleading..
And which QS server version are you using? I can try to replicate the issue on my system...
VK
Yep I renamed with only 3 Character like "CEM.qvf" instead of "02.CEM Communications.qvf". I think you r right error message seems misleading.
