Issue with Bookmarks and Straight Table

I am an developer in Qlik Sense, and I have added a new dimension to a Straight Table from the Visualization Bundle. However, users who have created bookmarks on this table cannot see the new dimension when they open their bookmarks.

Limitation: I cannot ask users to recreate all their bookmarks from scratch.

📌 Question: Is there a way to update existing bookmarks or force the new dimension to be visible without having to recreate them?

Thanks in advance for your help!

Thanks for your response! I’ll try to explain my issue more clearly.

In my Qlik Sense app, I have a sheet containing a Straight Table with multiple fields. Some fields are visible by default, while others are available for selection via Chart Exploration.

There are around 30 fields, and users have created their own bookmarks, saving only the specific fields they need.

Recently, I added a new dimension to the Straight Table based on user requests.

  • If I open the sheet and go to Chart Exploration, the new field is correctly available among the selectable fields.

  • However, if I open an existing bookmark that leads to this sheet, the new field does not appear in the list of selectable fields within Chart Exploration.

Since users have created many bookmarks on this table, I would like to avoid asking them to recreate all their bookmarks from scratch just to include the new field.

📌 Question: Is there a way to force existing bookmarks to show in Chart Exploration the new dimension without requiring users to recreate their bookmarks?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

As far as I know, in this scenario, users should see the added field immediately. My understanding is that bookmarks are not supposed to impact the fields contained within the object, only the fields selected and not selected. If that's not the case, it sounds like it may be a bug (in which case you may want to open a support ticket for it).

Note that this is for bookmark. If users have duplicated your sheet/object, that's a different story.

This post is a tad confusing, but I'll do my best here...

1) There is no such thing as a "bookmark on this table". Bookmarks are global to an application.

2) If you add something to an object, users should see it regardless of bookmarks used or unused.

3) If existing bookmarks have "Save layout" applied, they will presumably not have that dimension checked. This is as it should be, I would assume. Anyone who wants to modify this can bring up their bookmark, select the dimension, delete their previous bookmark and create a fresh one with the field included.
