Hi,
Is it possible to get writeback functionality in Qlik Sense?
I have requirement from Client to have this feature.
Thanks
Anirban
Hi Anirban,
Please check this thread where this has previously been asked: https://community.qlikview.com/thread/178574
There is no official functionality available for write back at the moment from Qlik Sense. There are also no extensions available to do this. As Qlik Sense is a tool for visualizing the data instead of capturing it, it is unlikely that they will provide this functionality in the future.
Hope this helps and if you are satisfied with this answer then please mark it as correct, thanks.
I'm going to have to disagree with Matthew.
There are some extensions with writeback capability one particularly robust one is from KtLabs it is called QlikCalc.
My company has also developed some extensions that provide this type of functionality.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for the update I was not aware of these. I was only going by what is available on Qlik Branch.
Anirban I suggest consulting with Chris here on a solution as he has more insight on this.
Thanks
Hi Chris, Matthew,
Thanks very much for replying.
Hi Chris
Can you please sent me link or step to enable writeback functionality which I can implement in my environment.
Thanks
Anirban
I'm sorry, this is not something I know how to do I just knew there were solutions available.
This is not really a qlik problem, you will have to develop the javascript to connect to the database and write whatever data into it.
Anirban,
Pomerol Partners has developed a Qlik Sense writeback extension...

Hi Anirban,
I hope you have found a solution to your request.
If not, then you should take a look at our native Qlik Sense write-back extension "Komment":
It only use native Qlik functionality and APIs and hence, it can be installed right away without the involvement of IT. All your comments are stored to QVDs so there is no need for external services or databases.
Happy commenting
All the best
Daniel
