A calculation dimension can be used instead of a field name as a dimension in a chart if you don't have a field in your data model that contains the values you want to show as dimension values. See this blog post for more information: Calculated Dimensions

generally we can do rank in expression level because writing calculated dimension causes pooor performance.

can you please explain so that will be helpful to us.
