Dear Talend Community,
I hope this message finds you well. We are reaching out to address a critical challenge that some users are encountering during the migration to Talend 8, particularly concerning the compatibility issues with the ODBC driver.
It has been observed that the ODBC driver, which was previously used seamlessly, is no longer fully compatible with Talend 8. This unexpected obstacle has led to various migration difficulties, and despite our best efforts, a solution has not been identified.
We already transite to JDBC but there is a security problem about using JDBC Sun’ s driver.
To make it brief, all we want to get like an output, it’s to retrieve data from .fic file or to convert it to .csv format or .xls
I’m entirely at your service fir further information.
Best regards,
Amina
Hello dear Amina,
I've faced the same problem : I can't read .fic file (windev format) with Talend 8.
Has anyone find a solution to this issue ?
Thanks,
Jules
Hello,
The problem is not related to the Talend version but to the Java version used by Talend.
ODBC was remove from java 8 :
