Can't connect to PostgreSQL Database with Qlik Sense Cloud

Hi,

I am trying to connect to a local postgre Database from my Qlik sense Cloud application, but it doesn't work.

I have this error message :

ERROR [08S01] [Qlik][PostgreSQL] (10) Error occurred while trying to connect: [SQLState 08S01] could not connect to server: Connection refused Is the server running on host "localhost" (127.0.0.1) and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432? could not connect to server: Cannot assign requested address Is the server running on host "localhost" (::1) and accepting TCP/IP connections on port 5432?

Please help me to solve this issue, without being able to connect to my database, I can't do anything with Qlik.

Thank you.

Hello @Foxwhite92 ,

Is your database externally accesible?

I would suggest allowing the IPs detailed on the following link:

https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Introduction/qlik-cloud-...

If your database is not accesible from the internet I would suggest checking Qlik Data Transfer, since it will allow you to upload the data directly to the cloud.

Hi,

There is no specific IPs in SaaS, the only requirement is that your database should be accessible by the internet. But you might need to consider whitelisting this Ip's: https://help.qlik.com/en-US/cloud-services/Subsystems/Hub/Content/Sense_Hub/Introduction/qlik-cloud-...

Thanks

Hi @Francisco_Fernandez

Thank you for your answer.

To be honest I don't know if my Database is externally accesible. I have just install postgreSQL on my computer and create a Database with SQL command.

Can you tell me where I need to add this IP adresses ?

Thank you for your help.

Hi,

If the database is not accessible via the internet then we won't be able to connect that directly to the SaaS.

You need to use the Qlik Data transfer to transfer the local data to a saas.

Thanks

Hi @Akshesh_Patel

Thank you for your answer. Unfortunatelly and I can't use the Qlik Data trasnfert solution.

Is it possible to configure my Database so that it is accessible from the internet. By adding for example the IP address of Qlik ?

Edit : I saw that it was possible to add the IP addresses in the config file of Postgre. But I don't know what is the IP address of the QLIK server. I only know the URL.

Thank you
