Connecting to a sharepoint website / document(s)
So I'm trying to make a Sharepoint connection using the built-in connector in Qlik Sense (Enterprise for Windows). And I'm getting stuck - due to the fact that it needs some kind of login to a Microsoft Account.
Question is, which account should I use for this?
I'd like to use the QS Admin account we've set up for QS, but I'm not sure about it.
Any advice? A personal microsoft account doesn't really sound good to me.
Cheers
Jörgen

Hello,
The only way i could make it work is using a Microsoft Account that has Access to the Sharepoint. To make it easier i used a Service Account and gave it full access to the Sharepoint, because i could not make it work when having limited access.
Best regards,

Hi!
In this case, I recommend using a dedicated service account within your Microsoft 365 environment, rather than a personal account or the Qlik Sense admin account.
The service account should be configured with the necessary permissions to access the specific SharePoint sites and libraries you plan to use. This approach allows you to maintain tight control over permissions, ensuring that the account only has access to what is necessary. Additionally, using a dedicated account helps avoid the risks associated with using a high-privilege account like the Qlik Sense admin account, which is better reserved for specific administrative tasks.
Avoiding the use of a personal Microsoft account is a smart move since these accounts aren't managed by your organization's security policies and could pose a security risk.
