I’m aware that Postgres 16 isn’t yet supported as the repository database for Qlik Sense Enterprise on Windows, with version 14 being the latest officially supported.
I previously posted about this on the forum, but I’m now trying to understand Qlik Sense Enterprise’s compatibility with Postgres 16 as a source database for pulling data into applications.
I haven’t found any clear guidance on this topic, and given that Postgres 16 has been available for some time, it’s a bit frustrating that we, as Qlik professionals, don’t have a definitive answer on its compatibility.
For context, we’re currently running the November 2023 Patch 9 release, and I haven’t seen any notes in the February or May updates about this compatibility. Additionally, there doesn’t seem to be any technical preview for the upcoming November 2024 release that addresses it either.
Does anyone in the community have more details on this?
Best regards,
Farshad

Hi Alan,
Thank you for the clarification!
I’d like to add a bit more information.
We recently upgraded some of our databases (where some data is stored) to PostgreSQL 16, and we've been able to connect and extract data seamlessly without any issues.
For anyone looking for answers related to this setup or higher
(using Qlik Sense on Windows Nov 23 / Patch 9):
Hope this helps!
