Microsoft SQL connector

I have an active database on my desktop computer in Microsoft SQL 2019 Express. I am using the Microsoft SQl connector to QLIk to try to export my data into QLIK sense cloud version, but it continues to fail.  I am not sure, I do not think its firewalls related considering I can already export a CSV file. I follow all the procedures, credentials etc. Please advice if any other options. I am wondering if the suggested port might be blocked?

thanks

Hi @abongwa,

If you're not using the IP address, try that and make sure it's the external IP address as the internal one will not work. Also, check out this video. It will walk you through the prerequisites for connecting to a local database from the cloud and gives open SQL credentials that you can use to test and ensure there is nothing happening with the tenant.

Any further issues, error and configuration screenshots will be helpful in investigating. Thanks!

Not really, there is a suggestion from Qlik that I need a <tenantname> which they say I should have gotten when I paid for my account. I did not get one  and so I am wondering if there is another way to get <tenenatname> . I am assuming its not my email.

For a system which relies on data import, I am still not sure why making this connection is soo complicated for the cloud version.
