I hope this is a good space for this question...
We have a direct access gateway installed on a server to access our SQL DB. I see in the set up best practices, it is recommended to "Do not use the same Direct Access gateway for development, user acceptance testing, and production, as this will increase the risk of overloading the available resources and impact system stability."
With this in mind, is the only way to accomplish this by performing the installation on 2 different servers that can access the same SQL DB? We only have one server that meets the system requirements to house the data gateway, so we are not able to install on 2 separate machines.
Any clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you, James
