We recently upgraded to Connector Version: 1.0.3.26574
We are seeing an error with multiple users, when attempting to get a new authentication code for Office 365 Sharepoint Connector. This needs to be done after network password is updated, to get a new authentication code.
The error is : "No refresh_token found"
We are following processes that worked fine on the previous version of the connector that we were using prior to this. I am able to successfully log in via the pop up window after going to :
Connectors > Qlik Office 365 Sharepoint Connector > Tables: CanAuthenticate >
and clearing the old token, and then attempting to authenticate to get a new authentication code. The sharepoint login is fine and I get a code in the new window, but the code does not work and gives the "No refresh_token found" error when I "save inputs & run table". Is anyone else on this connector version seeing this issue? I searched and there is no info on this error code available except a 2016 community post with no solution.
There is a new parameter in this version, called "prompt / consent level" and I have tried both options and they do not affect the error.
had to use the Delete Settings and Clear Cached Data options on the connection to get this working.
There were some issues with the page being a bit buggy about the base url field and new Prompt / consent level field as well. I am likely going to report these as a support ticket. But if you see this error, try using the Delete Settings and Clear Cached Data buttons found in the connection settings tab. then you may have to save inputs and run table in order to get the base url value to be recognized. and then consent field may need to be changed in order for the connection to return a true value.

There is a pop up message that warns that the browser may hold on to some of the old values after using the Clear Cached Data. If you do not refresh the page, this causes some odd situations where there appears to be values in a field, but they are really blank. I have asked Qlik Support to report this as a product enhancement as the page should be refreshed by the Clear Cached Data button, to resolve these errors.
What the token did you use? The qlik web connector's personal token or a sharepoint's token one?
I have the same problem but I don't know if I should use this:
or a specific token that allows it to recognize my user on sharepoint.
it is a specific token for the user. the token is obtained via the web connector page. the logged in user uses the CanAuthenticate option on the qlik web connector page, which will prompt for a username and password for SHAREPOINT. after this is entered, it is converted into a token which the user copies and takes back to the Qlik Web Connector page. the token includes the user name and password in some encrypted format, and works so long as the user's user name and password combo are valid for the sharepoint site. If the password is updated in a few months due to security policies, then connections will stop working until the user gets a new token, which includes the new updated password.
the documentation does not give enough details but it does mention this token, but fails to mention that the token only works so long as the username and password combo are valid for the other system, in this case sharepoint site.
Thanks,
I tried but the system gives me this information:
What's it means?
that sounds like the site you are trying to connect to is using an API that is not compatible with this. you may need to do a support ticket to get some advice, unless you can upgrade things on the sharepoint site
Hi @federicaromeo and @Ken_T ,
I think that having a post here in the community might be more helpful for other users facing the same problem.
If you open a new post @federicaromeo , feel free to ping me. I will have a look.
Please, do mention what Web Connector Version are you using and what kind of "prompt level" are you using.
Best regards,
Francisco
