Hello All,

Greetings!!

We  are facing some ODBC connectivity issues in  QlikView extractor files

 Below the error msg:

Error: Connector connect error: SQL##f - SqlState: 08001, ErrorCode: 53, ErrorMsg: [Microsoft][ODBC Driver 17 for SQL Server]Named Pipes Provider: Could not open a connection to SQL Server [53].

Most of Qlik applications are getting failed with this error even we have access to the DB server.

It's not directly related to Qlik else to your environment. Take this as a starting point for further investigations:

Hi Marcus,

Thanks for your reply!

have tried the above link to troubleshoot the issue.

found that Microsoft SQL Server Native Client Version also getting fail.

It seems to be another instance of illumio blocking the connection.

I think we need to whitelist the server name that is being used to connect to DB server if it is indeed illumio blocking.

If yes, where do I whitelist the server name? Thanks!

I don't know illumio but I assume that there is also a community and/or FAQ area in which its more likely to find the appropriate hints how to config this kind of issue.
