Qlik SharePoint365 Connector Whitelist error

Dear Community,

I am trying to Load data from the Qlik Web Connectors SharePoint365 connector but when I tried to load the  data, the application failed with and Internal Server ErrorThis error appears only when the load uses Scheduler from a RIM node and works fine when the scheduler node is Central.  When I checked the Web Connector Logs, I found out the the load failed because the Request is from a non Whitelisted IP and the UserIP was that of a RIM node that we use.

<Message>Request from non whitelisted IP address</Message>

Therefore I added the IP address to the llowed IP List in the WebConnector Settings. But I still get the Internal Server Error.

What could be the reason? Please Help.

Thanks and Regards,

Aslam

I think you need the business user who is logging in to the QWC web UI to also set that IP address for themselves.

Hi,

So to confirm you do get exactly the same error message in the QWC logs after adding the IP address?

Are you able to browse to the QWC web UI from a browser running on the rim node where the reload is failing from and confirm that the IP address you are adding is that given in the 'My Settings' -> 'Allowed IP Addresses' UI - it should say something like:

(NOTE: Your current IP address is ?.?.?.?. Click here to add this to your list.)

Hello Chris,

Yes I get the same error message in the logs after adding the IP address. I can confirm that I am able to login the Web UI from the RIM node where its failing to load data and I can see the IP as described. This is the same IP which is apparently not whitelisted according to the Logs.

Thanks,

Aslam

Could it be that SharePoint needs to whitelist the IP from its console as well? I have raised a ticket to them Just in Case.

That's strange - we will need to investigate this and try to repo.

Can you confirm the exact QWC version please?

Also

- is the reload happening from script generated by the same QWC user that you have set the IP address for?

- if this is a test environment where security is not such a concern, you could try entering 'any' for the IP address and just confirming if that works.

Sure Chris, The QWC version is December 2020.

I am not sure If understood the second point correctly but the Reload is done by the Service account, The same account which handles the QWC Service. But the Load script uses the Token of a Business user. But it does not work with my Account token (admin) as well.

It is a Production Environment, but we did try giving 'any' as well as specific IPs both didn't work.

Thank You,

Aslam

Hi - What error did you get when you tried 'any' in the IP setting?

I got the same message.

OK thanks. Are you setting the 'Allowed IP Address' for the QWC business user which was used to generate the failing load script?
