Qlikview API to run task

Hi, I am looking for a similar function to Tableau's "Run Extract Refresh Task" that external service can just call the URL to run task. Is these posts getting close?

Afaik Qlikview does not have a REST api. There is an api, but it's a bit more complicated since it's SOAP. See these pages for more information:
