Unable connect to MySQL DB

Hi,

I am trying to connect to a MySQL DB through Data connection, but none of the user details are working.

I have an existing connection to same DB with a old saved user credential (whose details I am unable to remember and could not figure out a way to retrieve the same from QlikSense).

With the same Host and other configurations to that MySQL DB, existing old user credential works, but none of the other new credential for the DB works which DB admin has shared. FYI, I have also tried Root user of DB admin, but it does not work.

Does anyone know what can be the issue?

Also, is there a way to retrieve username and password of a stored credential from QlikSense?

Hi @dataexplorermytyles 

I suggest you check the grants of the user you are trying to connect with.

In MySQL a user can be allowed to connect from a specific list of IPs or host names.

I suggest you check with your DB Admin the details.

A quick check is to use another tool (eg. DBeaver) to create and test the connection on the fly.
